Stop Wishing, Start Doing

 

Growing up, we were enchanted by the idea of wishing on stars, birthday candles, and dandelions. Any chance we got, we would close our eyes and make a wish because when you're young, that's all you really can do to make your dreams come true. Now, that you are an adult, there is no point in wishing and hoping for things to change, get better, or happen. If you want something, make it happen.

Stephen R. Covey said, "Individuals, families, teams, and organizations shape their own future by creating a mental vision and purpose for any project, large or small. They don't just live day to day with no clear purpose in mind. They identify and commit themselves to the principles, relationships, and purposes that matter most to them."

If you have a dream to travel, begin making plans to travel more. If you have dreams of being promoted, start networking within your company and talk to your boss about what you can do to reach your goals. Once you have a path, act! Don't wait. Do what you need to do to reach your goals.
